Introduction:Welcome, fellow DJs! If you were a DJ Hero the first time around, you'll be pleased to know that this second run at DJ Heroism is a much more polished and exciting game. Not only is the music just as awesome this time around, but the User Interface has been greatly improved as well as some exciting game play elements have been added. Power Decks will make getting 5 stars a breeze.
First off, I have not experienced any glitches in this game. Cheats DO affect trophies, so don't even think about it! Only one true play through is needed on Empire mode. All other trophies can be earned through Quickplay and Online. A very important note is that one of the trophies is for getting 5 stars on all the disc songs. So it would benefit you to start playing on Expert as soon as you feel comfortable with it.
Road Map
1. Calibrate your system and watch the credits.
This will earn you your first trophy, while making your play on point! En Sink? And why not get this silly credits trophy out of the way too? Credit Is Due
2. Tutorials.
This will show you the ropes, as well as get you a trophy: Higher Education
3. Empire Mode.
This is where you will earn most of your trophies. If you have a mic or headset, be sure to have it on and active when you're playing to earn Go Crazy Broadway Style!, which forces you to have Vocals active in all mixes that support them.
4. Random Trophies Clean Up.
Go back and do the random trophies and clean up what you missed, and yes… 5 star every song on the disc to get You're The Best!. If you didn't already achieve Fades Of Fury, Scratching The Itch and Tappity Tap Tap Tappy during Empire Mode, you will most likely get these trophies during the clean up.
5. Online
As of February 12, 2020, the online servers have been shut down.
This will be a long, long grind. There will be a lot of rage quitters if you are winning by a lot, therefore ruining any streaks you had going. You can try your hand at boosting. Some tips will be included in the Special Notes section (found
here).
It is absolutely necessary that you beat 10 people with a higher rank than you to get The Bigger They Are.... If you don't get this before you reach level 50, then you've missed it.
1 Up is earned by earning a higher score than a friend. You have to be online, but don't necessarily need to play the online mode for this one.
You will have to find matches online for DJ Battle modes if you do not have a second turntable locally in order to get Battle Ready.
Playing the different types of game modes online will get you trophies such as Accumulate, Chiggedy Check It Out, Like Bacon?, Mama Said... and Professional Face Remover.
Play long enough and use the tips in the Special Notes section to reach level 50 and earn Upgraded.
7. Platinum!
Congrats, you did it!
Platinum DJ Hero
As of February 12, 2020, the online servers have been shut down making this platinum unobtainable.
[PST Would Like to Thank Slamma for this Roadmap]
-
Collect all other Trophies.
UNOBTAINABLE due to online shutdown
Hooray! You're a Hero of the DJ realm! Congrats!!!
-
Reach online grade 10.

UNOBTAINABLE due to online shutdown
Keep playing online until you reach grade 10. Check the
Special Notessection for tips on leveling up quicker.
-
Set up and play a 10 mix setlist in Quickplay, earning at least 4 stars for each mix.
As mentioned in Me Like You Long Time. Just play the setlist you saved with the 10 songs you liked. Play on a difficulty you are comfortable with because you will need 4 stars in each mix.
-
Complete 30 Online Battles (in any Online Battle mode).

UNOBTAINABLE due to online shutdown
Just keep playing online. You need to complete 30 online battles to get this trophy. This can be boosted as well, considering you will need to win at least 50 for
Battle Star Spectacular. Your progress can be tracked in the Trophy section of the Rep menu or the Star Chart of the Rep menu. -
Win 50 Online Battles (in any Online Battle mode).

UNOBTAINABLE due to online shutdown
You need to win 50 battles online for this trophy. This can be boosted. Your progress can be tracked in the Trophy section of the Rep menu or the Star Chart of the Rep menu.
-
Successfully perform 25,000 scratches (in any mode except Party Play).
This will come with time depending on which difficulty you play. The higher the difficulty, the more scratches there will be. Playing through Empire Mode will get you there, if not, very close.
-
Successfully perform 20,000 crossfades (in any mode except Party Play).
This will come with time depending on which difficulty you play. The higher the difficulty, the more crossfades there will be. Playing through Empire Mode will get you there, if not, very close.
-
Play all of the DJ Battle mixes (online or offline).

UNOBTAINABLE due to online shutdown
If you have two turntables, you can do this offline. Just play each of the Battle mixes. If you do not have a second turn table, you will have to play each one online either by random matchmaking or by boosting.
-
Beat a friend's score on any of the leaderboards.

UNOBTAINABLE due to online shutdown
For this, you will obviously need to have a friend that also has DJ Hero 2. Use the boosting thread to find other people. Or you can use the method described in Hero Feed Heroism to beat a friend's score.
-
Win all the DJ Battle setlists in Empire mode.
This will come naturally during Empire mode. Each venue will have a well known DJ. DJ Qbert in Ibiza, David Guetta in London, RZA in Berlin, deadmau5 in Shanghai, Tiesto in Las Vegas, and DJ Qbert again in Ibiza: Encore. Beat each one in each venue to get this trophy. You should also unlock I Have The Power Decks! if you have this unlocked.
-
Get an A for Freestyling in any mix (in any mode except Party Play).
After you do the tutorials, you will know how Freestyling works. Getting in some mixes to practice Freestyling is a great way to understand what good Freestyling is. You should earn this by the time you're through Empire Mode.
-
Play your opening night in Empire mode.

This trophy will come after completing your first setlist in Empire mode. Your first setlist will be "Opening Night" in Ibiza. There are 3 mixes to play to complete this setlist.
-
UNOBTAINABLE due to online shutdown
This is your classic online grind trophy. Read the
Special Notesat the end of the Road Map for some tips on how to level faster. Also, boost if possible.
-
Calibrate your system for DJ Hero 2.

Calibrate your system for this trophy. This can be found under the Options menu as "Calibration".
-
Play a mix in Quickplay with another DJ and a Vocalist (in local play only).

This is the trophy you need all the peripherals for. You need two (2) DJ Hero turntables and a headset or microphone. Get all three active and play a song in Quickplay.
-
Hit 100% of the vocal notes in a mix (in any mode except Party Play).

You will need to hit all of the notes in a song for this trophy. Similar to Microphonical Magic, pick a straight rap song such as ?Busta Rhymes - Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See/ House of Pain - Jump Around. Since vocal pick up isn't the greatest on this game, you may find yourself having a hard time getting every single not. You can try blowing into the mic, tapping it or rubbing it against a couch cushion. Just stay patient and vigilant and you will get it.
-
Set up and save 3 setlists in Quickplay.

You should have at least one setlist saved from Me Like You Long Time. Now you just need to create and save two more setlists. Again, just add the song to a setlist with
or the blue tap and press
and choose "Save Setlist". -
Set your own online Tag and Medal.

UNOBTAINABLE due to online shutdown
Go to the Online menu and select Tags and change it. Do the same thing for your Medals.
-
Earn 12 stars in DJ Shadow's setlist in Empire mode on Medium difficulty or above.

See Supreme Master Of The Empire.
-
Earn 12 stars in DJ Shadow's setlist in Empire mode on Hard difficulty or above.

See Supreme Master Of The Empire.
-
Earn 12 Stars in DJ Shadow's setlist in Empire mode on Expert difficulty.

This trophy will also get you Master Of The Empire and Grand Master Of The Empire if you haven't already got them. To get this, you need to play Empire mode until you reach DJ Shadow's setlist. You must play on Expert. Pick a power deck that you're comfortable with. I recommend the Multiplier deck. You only need 4 stars in each mix to get the total 12 stars. Or 5 stars, 4 stars and 3 stars. Or whatever combination that will give you 12 stars.
-
Perform 4 720' rewinds in a single mix, on any difficulty level without dropping your multiplier (in any mode except Party Play).
When you get a streak of 60, you will be rewarded with a rewind. To get a 720' rewind, just perform a rewind with the turntable, but instead of only letting the turntable rotate once, let it go around twice before getting back into position. After you perform the 720' rewind, you will have to be perfect until you get back to the place you used the rewind. Perform 3 more of these in a song to get the trophy. The longer the song, the better chance you'll have of getting 4 rewinds. The trophy will pop when the song ends.
-
Perform Vocals in every mix that supports them (in any mode except Party Play).
As mentioned in the Introduction, you should have the Vocals activated at all times. You don't necessarily have to sing as the sound from the game will get picked up a little and you'll get some points. Every song that supports vocals has to be played through with the Vocals active. You can track your progress in the Trophies section of the Rep menu.
Another method is to make long setlists in Quickplay and have the Vocals active. You don't even need to be there to get a score, you just have to play through each song with Vocals on. So you can set up a long setlist, play it and walk away for a half hour. Rinse, repeat.
-
Win 5 Star Battles online.

UNOBTAINABLE due to online shutdown
Play Star Battles online with a random stranger or with a boosting partner. This is like a normal point battle. The person with the center Star bar filled up the most will win.
-
Win a Checkpoint Battle by knocking out the other player (online only).

UNOBTAINABLE due to online shutdown
Play Checkpoint online with a random stranger or with a boosting partner. Fill up the center bar before the song ends to knock out the other player. Hit those notes perfectly and don't let your opponent win any checkpoints to get this.
-
Win 10 Online Battles against players of a higher grade (in any Online Battle mode).
UNOBTAINABLE due to online shutdown
THIS IS A MISSABLE TROPHY!!!
You can filter for this trophy. When searching, be sure to filter the DJ Grade level to "Higher." This will allow the game to search for other DJs with a higher grade than you, so you can earn this trophy. Beat your higher graded opponent 10 times to get this trophy.
You can also boost for this trophy. -
Play Accumulator and win 10 mixes (or single mix battles) with a streak of over 50 (online only).

UNOBTAINABLE due to online shutdown
Play Accumulator online with a random stranger or with a boosting partner. A tip is to bank whenever you see a Euphoria section coming up. That way you can earn the Euphoria, which will earn you another Bank. Win with a streak of 50 ten times to earn this trophy.
-
Play Streak and win 6 mixes (or single mix battles) by 20 streak margin (online only).

UNOBTAINABLE due to online shutdown
Play Streak online with a random stranger or with a boosting partner. Win by a margin of 20 or more 6 times and the trophy is yours.
-
Win 10 Checkpoint mixes (or single mix Battles) by a margin of 3 checkpoints or more (online only).

UNOBTAINABLE due to online shutdown
Play Checkpoint online with a random stranger or with a boosting partner. Win by a margin of 3 checkpoints or more ten times and the trophy is yours.
-
Beat all the employee DJs in Checkpoint Battles in Empire mode.

Playing through Empire mode, you will come across the employee DJs: DJ Kid Itch and Kitty Smash in London, Vunda Boy in Berlin, Mixy Trix and Cool Papa G in Shanghai, Jugglenort and Cleetus Cuts in Las Vegas and Candy Nova in Ibiza: Encore. Beat all these DJs and the trophy is yours!
-
Play 5 mixes directly from Hero Feed Challenges.

UNOBTAINABLE due to online shutdown
If you have a friend who also has DJ Hero 2, ask them to issue you some challenges. To issue challenges, play a song on Quickplay. When you finish the song, there will be a menu option that reads "Issue Challenge." Select it and send the challenge to your friend. To find the challenges, go into "Rep" in the main menu and select "Hero Feed." You should see an entry asking if you can beat your friend's challenge. Highlight that entry and press triangle to accept the challenge.
If you don't have anybody on your friends list who plays DJ Hero 2, you can make a secondary account to get this. Make a new account and add your main account as a friend. Then play the songs on your secondary account and challenge your main account. Do this for 5 songs.
-
Unlock all the Empire bonus mixes.
This will come when playing through Empire mode. The bonus mixes are unlocked after completing every other challenge in that venue. For example, complete "Opening Night", "West Coast Beats", "Radio Jams" and the "DJ Battle" to unlock the Bonus Setlist.
-
Complete 6 of the 'New To DJ Hero 2' Tutorial lessons.

Pretty basic, just complete the tutorial lessons to get this trophy. Under the Tutorials menu, there are six "New to DJ Hero 2" lessons total in the different difficulty tutorials. Complete the six.
-
Apply 'Like' tags to 10 mixes and play these mixes (in any game mode except Party Play).

-
In Empire mode complete 3 Setlist Challenges.

This will come naturally in Empire mode. Complete 3 setlist challenges and it's yours. The setlist challenges include "West Coast Beats", "Radio Jams" and "Bonus Setlist" in the Ibiza venue.
-
Successfully perform 50,000 taps (in any mode except Party Play).

This will come with time depending on which difficulty you play. The higher the difficulty, the more taps there will be. Playing through Empire Mode will get you there, if not, very close.
-
Only crossfade to the left in all Freestyle sections in any mix (in any mode except Party Play).

Play any song with Crossfader Freestyle sections and only Crossfade to the left while in these Freestyle sections.
-
Activate 6 rewinds in Show Me Love (Stonebridge Radio Edit) / I'm Not Alone mix (in any mode except Party Play).

Play the Show Me Love (Stonebridge Radio Edit) / I'm Not Alone mix, and use 6 rewinds. Get a streak of 50 to get a rewind, then use it immediately. When you get back to the spot you used the rewind, the counter will begin again. When you get the next 50 notes, you will get another rewind. Make sure you keep your streak alive to get this trophy.
-
Get a 400 streak in I Will Be Here / Speed Rail on Expert (in any mode except Party Play).

This one might seem scary at first, but it can be pretty easy (given you're comfortable with Expert). The beginning of the song is rather easy compared to the end, so the earlier you can get the 400 streak the better. A quick tip for those having problems: You don't have to hold those held taps. As long as you tap it at the beginning, it will count in your streak. Releasing it will NOT lose your streak. Also, Rewinding will NOT count toward your streak. So it is best if you use the Euphoria deck.
-
Get a 200 vocal streak in any vocal mix (in any mode except Party Play).

Using your microphone, play any song with vocals and get a 200 vocal streak. Pick a straight rap song such as ?Busta Rhymes - Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See/ House of Pain - Jump Around. Since vocal pick up isn't the greatest on this game, you may find yourself having a hard time getting a streak going. You can try blowing into the mic, tapping it or rubbing it against a couch cushion.
-
Earn at least 3 stars in each of the mixes in the Tiƫsto Megamix (in Quickplay, Megamixes, Empire or Star Battle).

You can tackle this one of four ways.
1) This is probably the most logical. Just play until you get to the Tiesto Megamix in your Empire mode and get 3 stars in each mix.
2) After unlocking the Megamix, you can select Megamixes in the main menu and play it from there.
3) You can play each song in the Megamix in quick play.
4) You can play each song in the Megamix in online matches.
Option (1) is your best bet. Just get at least 3 stars in each song in the Megamix for this trophy. -
In Empire Mode beat DJ Qbert in each of his Battle Mixes.

DJ Qbert will show himself more than once during Empire mode. You will battle him once in Ibiza. Then when you beat him for the second time (in Ibiza: Encore), you will get this trophy.
-
Unlock all the Power decks.

This will come with your Empire playthrough. As you play, you will battle six DJs: DJ Qbert, David Guetta, RZA, deadmau5, Tiesto, and DJ Qbert again. After you defeat each one, you will receive one of the six power decks. Defeat all the DJs to get all the Power Decks, and unlock this trophy. You should also unlock The Emperor if you have this unlocked.
-
Simple. Watch the credits! This can be found under the Options menu as "Credits".
Secret trophies
-
Earn 5 stars for every mix on Expert difficulty
Oh yes, they brought it back. Five star EVERY mix on Expert. You can keep track of what songs you have completed by liking the song when you have 5-starred it on Expert. You can see what songs you have completed in the bar below the song selection. It will first show you details about the song, but after you've highlighted a song for a few seconds, it will switch to a leaderboard and show you how you've done on the song and what difficulty you've played on. Use the "Like" feature and this leaderboard in combination to keep track. And good luck!
-
Earn 5 stars for any mix at all difficulty levels

Pick a mix and 5 star it on every difficulty. Pick your favorite of the first 3 tracks to do it with because they are quite easy on Expert.
-
Earn 33 stars

This will come while playing through Empire mode. Just earn 33 or more stars and the trophy will pop.
-
Fail to 5 star Galvanize on Expert difficulty

How kind of them... get anything but 5 stars for Galvanize on Expert and you'll get this trophy.
-
5 star Galvanize on Expert difficulty

Galvanize is one of the more difficult songs in the game. The Euphoria deck can be extremely helpful for the extreme crossfading sections. Youtuber Chrisdgaf13 has posted his run and it is available for you to view below.
-
In any Battle get an A for Scratching, a B for Taps, a B for Crossfading and an A for Freestyling

This is a tricky trophy. You will need to be in a Battle to even attempt this trophy, whether it be local play (with 2 turntables) or online. You need to get rank A for Scratching and Freestyling while getting rank B for Taps and Crossfading. It will take some experimenting to get the proper ranks.
If you have two turntables and can do it locally and an easy way to do this is to play Snow-Informer vs Jackson 5-ABC. Do nothing for the first two checkpoints (except for the effects dial) and then ace the rest of the song. Easy as that!
